Becoming a parent is a life-changing experience, bringing immense joy, happiness, and unconditional love. However, adjusting to life with a new baby and navigating maternity services can sometimes feel overwhelming. As a Postnatal Doula, I’m here to provide both emotional and practical support, along with up-to-date, evidence-based information to help guide you through this new phase.
My focus is on making sure that mothers feel supported, cared for, and nurtured—just as they do for their newborns. I believe that when mothers receive the right care and have time to rest and recover, it leads to a healthier and more positive postnatal experience.
Every family’s needs are different, and my support is designed to be flexible and personalised. Whether you need help for just a few days or several weeks after your baby arrives, I’m here to support your entire family with a wide range of services.
Support Beyond Postnatal Care
In addition to postnatal support, I also offer ongoing assistance as your family continues to grow and adapt. Whether it’s helping with your baby’s developmental stages, supporting your family’s adjustment to new routines, or simply providing practical help around the house, I’m here for you beyond the immediate postnatal period. My goal is to offer continuous care as your family’s needs evolve.
A detailed planning session to discuss your specific needs and wishes for your postnatal recovery (typically takes up to 2 hours).

Hiring a post-natal doula was the best decision we could have made before the birth of our second child. We moved to Brighton during the pregnancy and I didn’t have a support system in place, so having Gemma’s support made the world of difference to my post-partum experience. Her kind and calm manner made her presence a real pleasure in our home; she took care of my mental and physical health, supported with breast-feeding challenges, ensured we ate properly and had clean clothes to wear, and, best of all, having her around meant that I could rest and recover during the exhausting early days with a toddler and a newborn. I couldn’t recommend Gemma more highly — we’ll all miss her.

I offer a free initial consultation, either by phone or Zoom, to see if we’re a good fit. Afterwards, we can arrange an in-person meeting and, if you choose to proceed, a postnatal planning session to ensure you receive the care and support that best meets your needs.
Let me help make your journey into parenthood a smoother and more enjoyable experience.
